Liebe Dog Groomery is a one-on-one grooming studio. Appointments are scheduled specifically for each dog so they can be groomed in a calm environment without unnecessary crossover with other clients.
By booking an appointment with Liebe Dog Groomery, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Late Pickups
Liebe operates on a one-on-one appointment schedule and dogs are expected to be collected promptly once their groom is complete.
You will receive a message when your dog is ready for collection. Unless otherwise arranged in advance, please collect your dog as soon as reasonably possible.
Late collections affect the next client’s appointment, scheduled breaks and the end of the working day.
The following late collection fees may apply:
30 minutes or more late: $50
60 minutes or more late: $100
If you are unexpectedly delayed, please contact Jess as soon as possible.
Repeated late pickups may result in future appointments being cancelled.
Please also avoid arriving for collection before you have been notified that your dog is ready. Seeing or hearing their owner during the grooming process can make some dogs excited or unsettled and may make it difficult to safely complete their groom.
Dog Behaviour
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing, as well as the groomer’s safety, are the priority during every appointment.
Owners must disclose any known behavioural concerns before grooming, including previous biting, snapping, growling, aggression, extreme fear or difficulty being handled for grooming.
Liebe specialises in calm, one-on-one grooming and will always make reasonable efforts to work patiently with anxious or nervous dogs. However, one-on-one grooming does not mean that dangerous behaviour can always be accommodated.
If your dog displays behaviour that makes the groom unsafe for either the dog or the groomer, Liebe reserves the right to modify or stop the groom at any stage.
This may include behaviours such as:
biting or attempting to bite
repeated snapping
extreme struggling or thrashing
aggression when particular areas are handled
behaviour creating a significant risk of injury
distress that makes continuing the groom inappropriate for the dog
If a groom cannot safely be completed, you will be contacted to collect your dog. You may be charged for the grooming work completed and appointment time already used.
Where significant behavioural issues require substantially more time or handling than would normally be expected, an additional fee may apply. Where possible, this will be discussed with you.
Liebe also reserves the right to decline future appointments where a dog’s behaviour presents an unacceptable or ongoing safety risk.
Failure to disclose a known history of biting, aggression or serious grooming-related behaviour may also result in future appointments being declined.
Matted Dogs
Liebe’s priority is always the comfort and welfare of your dog.
Matting occurs when hair becomes tightly tangled and can pull continuously on the skin. Severe matting can also conceal irritation, sores, bruising, parasites, skin conditions and other issues beneath the coat.
Liebe will not put a dog through prolonged or painful de-matting simply to preserve coat length.
This may mean that the finished groom is significantly shorter than the style originally requested.
Removing heavily matted coat requires grooming tools to work very close to the skin and carries an increased risk of irritation, redness, small nicks or other skin sensitivity. Previously hidden skin conditions may also become visible once the coat has been removed.
Where significant matting is discovered, Liebe will make reasonable efforts to discuss the recommended approach with you. However, the dog’s welfare will take priority over achieving a particular hairstyle.
Additional charges may apply where matting results in substantially increased grooming time, additional blade or equipment wear, or additional handling.
Appointment No-Shows
Liebe is a small, owner-operated business and each appointment reserves a substantial block of time exclusively for your dog.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
If you do not attend your appointment and have not contacted Jess beforehand, this is considered a no-show.
No-shows will be charged 100% of the booked appointment price.
Payment of any outstanding cancellation or no-show fees will be required before another appointment can be booked.
Liebe understands that genuine emergencies occur and exceptional circumstances will be considered at our discretion.
Pricing
Prices displayed by Liebe Dog Groomery are inclusive of GST.
Grooming prices are based on the expected time, skill and work required, taking into account the dog’s size, breed, coat type and service booked.
Prices shown on the website should therefore be treated as a guide, as an individual dog’s grooming requirements may not be fully determined until the dog and coat have been assessed.
The final price may vary depending on factors including:
dog size
coat type and density
coat condition
matting
length and style requested
time required to complete the groom
behaviour or handling requirements
additional services requested
Where circumstances arise that will materially change the expected price of the groom, Liebe will make reasonable efforts to discuss this with you.
Prices may be reviewed and changed from time to time. The price applicable to your appointment will be the current price communicated for that service prior to the service being provided.
Payment is due on completion of your dog’s appointment.
